Festivals and Events

Hood Canal Highland Celtic Festival. Held at the Theler Community Center at 22871 NE State Route 3, Belfair, WA 98525. Phone: 360-275-9882.

The Celtic Festival features Celtic dancers, entertainment and vendors, highland games demonstrations plus food vendors and a beer garden.

Taste of Hood Canal. Located on Clifton Lane in downtown Belfair.
This annual event features a classic car show, beer and wine tasting, arts and crafts and of course live music.

Outdoor Recreation - Parks

Located 3 miles west of Belfair, Belfair Park has a wide array of outdoor recreation featuring kite flying, kayaking, windsurfing, freshwater and saltwater fishing, saltwater swimming, clamming, crabbing, oysters, badminton area, beachcombing, bird watching, horseshoe pits and volleyball fields.

Coulter Creek Heritage Park. Located on Old Clifton Road in Belfair, WA.
Coulter Creek is a park for all ages offering scenic views, hiking and walking trails plus bird watching.

Jarrell Cove State Park. 391 E. Wingert Road, Shelton, WA 98584. Phone: 360-426-9226; Reservations: 1-888-226-7688.

Located on the northwest side of Harstine Island in South Puget Sound, Jarrell Cove offers hiking and biking trails, saltwater boating, diving, fishing, swimming and water skiing, clamming, crabbing, oysters, bird and wildlife viewing, amphitheater, badminton area, horseshoe pits and a volleyball field.

Tahuya State Forest
Tahuya is the popular year-round destination for ORV riders. Other activities include horseback riding, mountain biking, fishing and hunting.

Located eight miles west of Belfair, Twanoh Park has many activities including saltwater boating, fishing, water skiing and swimming, crabbing, oysters, hiking, bird watching, wildlife viewing, badminton area, horseshoe pit and a volleyball field.
